RESIDENT EVIL 3
RESIDENT EVIL 3 - DEMO
Before I get into any thoughts on the Resident Evil 3 Demo I feel it’s best to provide some context with my relationship to the series.
I was first introduced to the Resident Evil franchise with the first film adaptation staring Milla Jovovich (2002). I was so excited after seeing this movie that I pleaded with my family to get me the game. I figured I needed to continue the conquest in ridding this factious world of mutant zombies as well as taking down the Umbrella Corporation.
To my surprise my family obliged me at the age of 10 I was a proud owner of Resident Evil 2 (on Dreamcast). In true 10 year old me fashion I woke up a few hours early so that I could play before school. I knew that there was no way I would play the game at night because…. zombies. There I was being murdered over and over again by zombie dogs in a diner. I had played other games that may have been difficult but this one I knew I had to conquer. I turned off the game walked to school and thought “I’ll just give it a few days”.
A few days passed and it was time to play again (in the morning of course). To my surprise I could not complete the level. I’m sure it was my fears of the zombies that held me back from passing the level but I finally gave in and told my family that they would need to trade the game in. After which I played the likes of Sonic Adventure and even Mario Party 3.
Fast forwarding to present day I completed the Resident Evil Demo (standard mode)! It took me 57 minutes and 30 seconds to complete it. By all means I know this isn’t the best time but to me it’s a huge accomplishment. To even pass one stage means the world to me.
“It took me 57 minutes & 30 seconds to complete it.”
To those of you who are Resident Evil game fans I do recommend that you check out the full game. The controls were fluid, the details on zombies were excellent and the gore gruesome.
